Participation of the Laotian international student soccer team in the 24th Chuseok International Sports Festival
A special day of running and cheering together
On Thursday, September 24, the '24th Chuseok Foreigners' Sports Festival' was held at the Namdong Neighborhood Park Soccer Field.
At this event, foreigners of various nationalities gathered together to have a meaningful time interacting and harmonizing through sports.
The Starlight Sharing Foundation sponsored the participation of international students from Laos in a soccer tournament, and the soccer players, cheerleaders, and foundation staff members spent an enjoyable time together at the event.
The Vigorous Challenge of International Students from Laos!
The Laotian international student team prepared for the game with excitement and nervousness.
As the players stepped onto the field, the cheering squad and foundation staff also held up cheering tools and supported the players with loud cheers and applause.
The first match is against the Bangladesh team ,
The second match was played against the Vietnam team .
The cheering was as passionate as the players!
The excitement was intense even outside the stadium.
The cheering squad and foundation staff raised their voices while holding cheering tools to encourage the Laotian players. Loud applause and cheers followed whenever the players made a spectacular play, making the atmosphere in the stadium even more heated.
Lunchtime tastes even better when eaten together
After finishing the morning schedule, we filled our stomachs with hearty packed lunches prepared by the organizers.
Join forces in tug-of-war, just like in soccer!
Unfortunately, they were unable to win the soccer tournament, but the achievements of the Laotian international students did not end there.
We created another enjoyable memory by winning second place in the tug-of-war, in which we joined forces . Regardless of the outcome, we were able to witness the strong teamwork of the participants as they coordinated their chants and combined their strength.
Full of luck! Win a bicycle prize
Unexpected luck even came during the prize draw, another highlight of the event.
No less than three international students from Laos won bicycles as prizes! Cheers and applause from the participants followed every time a name was called, and the joyful atmosphere continued until the very end of the event.
The national team soccer uniform prepared by the Starlight Sharing Foundation also brought great joy to the player who shone the brightest in the soccer match.
We are united by soccer
This soccer tournament was more than just a competition to determine the winner; it was a time for international students from Laos to join forces, interact with participants of various nationalities, and create precious memories.
In particular, with the participation of not only the players but also the cheering squad and foundation staff, it became a meaningful occasion where those playing and those cheering became one .
Although the joy of winning the soccer championship had to be postponed until the next opportunity, it was a day filled with endless laughter, thanks to the passion of the players who gave their all until the end, the energetic cheers of the cheering squad, the achievement of coming in second place in the tug-of-war, and even winning a bicycle as a prize .
Our foundation will continue to stand with international students from Laos so that they can gain diverse experiences, interact with one another, and grow healthily during their time in Korea.
